SUMMARY OF ARIZONA REAL ESTATE BROKER/AGENT RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS
Each Arizona real estate salesperson and broker applying for real estate license renewal (license is renewed every two years) must complete 24 hours of continuing education. You must have three (3) hours in each of the following categories:
Real Estate Legal Issues
Contract Law
Agency Law
Fair Housing
Commissioners Standards
Disclosure
The balance of the 24 hours may be made up of any of the above classifications or classes in the "General" category. In addition, real estate brokers are required to also take the 6 hour Broker Management Clinic every two years.
Quadrennial NAR Ethics requirement. Although not required for license renewal, salespersons and brokers who are members of the National Association of Realtors and/or a local Association of Realtors are also required to take an "ethics course" every four years ("Ethics in Real Estate," which may be taken as an individual course but is also included in Arizona Renewal Package 2, meets this requirement).
IMPORTANT NOTE: You cannot take (or receive) more than 9 credit hours of continuing education instruction in one day.
